Marla is a Senior Level Iyengar Teacher and was highlighted by Yoga Journal as one of 21 young Yoga Teachers helping to shape the future of Yoga.  She visits India yearly for continued studies teaches in Las Angles and leads workshops and teacher training throughout US and abroad.  

Since visiting India for the first time to conduct research for a degree in Buddhist Philosophy, Marla has returned annually to pursue education in the yogic arts under the direction of B.K.S. Iyengar and his children, Geeta and Prashant.

A woman of many talents, Marla also shares her knowledge internationally as a writer and contributor to Yoga Journal, Yoga International and other magazines. Marla has served the national yoga community as President of the Iyengar Yoga National Association of the United States and as a current member of the National Certification Committee. She is pursuing her interest in making the healing benefits of yoga available to communities in need as a founding board member of the non-profit organization, Iyengar Yoga Therapeutics.

Marla was previously involve with medical studies at UCLA on Yoga for Depression and Anxiety, and is currently a member of Iyengar Yoga Therapeutics.  She’s passionate in helping make the healing benefits of Iyengar Yoga accessible to people and communities in need.

Friday: Calm in the Storm

Saturday: Subtle Anatomy; balancing the energetic body through asana and pranayama 

Sunday: Pratyahara; culturing the senses through asana 

Prerequisites: 1 year of Iyengar Yoga experience

Time: Friday 6-8 pm, Saturday 10-1:00 pm, 3:30-5:30 pm, Sunday 10-1:00 pm


Full Payment $215 

Balance due by Sept 1, 2018

REFUND POLICY A full refund less the $35 deposit will be given if notification is made before September19th. After that, no refunds will be given.
