9 Day Bhutan Itinerary

Oct 29 - Nov 6

 Tues Oct 29 – Day 1

Arrive at Paro Airport  and be met by our three amazing and spirited guides. We will drive to Thimphu (1.5 hours). Stay at Namgay Heritage Hotel. Visit the National Folk Heritage Museum. Afternoon Yoga and end the day with an evening welcome dinner and Karaoke.

Wed Oct 30 – Day 2

Morning yoga. Visit the biggest Buddha in the world. Hike to Cheri Monastery (1620) and bike along the Wang Chuu River. Afternoon yoga.

Thurs Oct 31- Day 3

Morning yoga. Drive to Punakha (~2 hours). Stop at Dochula Pass, with stunning views of the Himalayas (if weather permits). Stay at Hotel Zhingkham. Bike to Divine Madman Temple (Chimi Lhakhang, 1499). Afternoon yoga.


Fri Nov 1 – Day 4

Morning yoga overlooking the valley. Bike up, along Pochu River. River rafting down the Pochu River and visit the Phunakha Dzong (1632). Afternoon yoga.

Sat Nov 2 – Day 5

Morning yoga. Drive to Phobjikha Valley intersection. Bike from 10,000 FT down to our farmhouse/home stay. Visit Black Neck Crane visitor center. Traditional hot stone bath. Afternoon yoga at farmhouse.  


Sun Nov 3- Day 6

Morning Yoga. Visit Gangtey Monastery. Bike, hike and explore the beautiful valley if we are lucky we might see 6 ft Black Neck Cranes fly in from Tibet to migrate in this valley for the winter. Traditional hot stone bath. Afternoon yoga at the farm house. 

Mon Nov 4 – Day 7

Morning yoga. Drive to Dochula Pass for lunch and to Paro. Stay at 5 star hotel ZhiwaLing.  Afternoon yoga in our lovely yoga studio overlooking the mountains. Deluxe dinner at ZhiwaLing and enjoy their beautiful bar and tea house. 


Tues Nov 5 – Day 8

Morning yoga. Hike to Tiger’s Nest Taktsang, Lhakhang; the most popular monastery in Bhutan (~ 5 hours and 10,000 feet). Afternoon yoga. Farewell dinner with cultural dance performance and bonfire. 

Wed Nov 6 – Day 9

Fly home or travel onward to your next adventures.
