For those wishing to consider yoga’s offerings for living a reflective and more compassionate life, this series of classes will be a springboard for the more expansive practice of yoga grounded in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. Short readings, meditation, relaxation, and sharing in a Council format will be woven through the classes with the community of fellow practitioners held as an important element in the experience.
Our instructors are highly trained and certified and are committed to excellence in making Yoga accessible to each individual body. In Iyengar Yoga our instructors participate in ongoing professional education, bringing in-depth instruction to their students with fresh insights, creativity and fun.
Privates can be beneficial for students with injuries to learn how to modify poses for individual needs. Private classes are also helpful to encourage individual progress for students with challenges in specific poses due to lack of flexibility or strength. If a student new to yoga wants to join a class midterm, private sessions will be necessary to get a good start and catch up with the group. Fees for private sessions are $60 per hour. Please check with the office for available teachers and times.
